About

“My family moved to Virginia during my residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School. After I graduated, we returned to Kansas City to be near family. My husband and I both grew up here. Family is my top priority, and it strongly reflects in the joy I feel from being an OB/GYN. I get to know my patients and their families, where they come from, how they feel, their preferred style of communication. Often, I take care of other women in the same family. I meet a patient, then their mom comes to me, and then their sister or daughter. It’s very fulfilling.

I consider OB/GYN a calling and a blessing. I am entrusted with the next generation. I also understand the challenges of women as I work to balance marriage and raising my own two children with my career. When I am not caring for patients, I enjoy spending time with family, being outdoors, and practicing yoga.”
