“Obstetrics and gynecology is truly a calling and I am blessed to take care of women every day. It is a privilege to make a very human connection with my patients during joyful times as well as walk with them through tragedy.”
Dr. Erwin’s approach to caring for women starts with listening. As her patients relate their stories, she imagines how she would like to be treated in the same situation and uses that as her guide. Making an authentic connection with her patients allows her to help meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
A graduate of the University of Arkansas and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dr. Erwin completed her residency at the University of Alabama Birmingham in 2012. She has received numerous awards and honors, including the Dallas Fort Worth OB/GYN Society Medical Student Award and the UAB Argus Award for Best Teaching OB/GYN Resident. She is a life member of Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Medical Society and a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
She is happily married and has a daughter and a son.
Surprising Fact: At age 19, she was the Junior National Champion in the women’s heptathlon, and competed in Santiago, Chile at the Junior World Track & Field Championships.
