Melodie Zamora, MD, is a native Texan who pursued her dream of becoming a doctor at respected institutions, including the prestigious Yale University. After completing her residency in Pennsylvania, she returned to her home state to provide comprehensive and compassionate medical care to women of all ages, ethnicities, and beliefs. Dr. Zamora’s medical training instilled in her the perspective she carries into her practice of medicine: caring for the whole person. Her goal as a founding physician of Innovative Women’s OBGYN is to provide comprehensive care to each patient. Inclusivity is another goal: every woman is welcome, regardless of age, ethnicity, gender assigned at birth, religious beliefs, or native country. No problem is too large or too small for Dr. Zamora to address with her patients. She is most proud of the referrals she receives from patients within families – from teens to grandmothers. It is the best compliment she can receive to know that women within a family trust her with their own health and that of their family members. On a personal note, Dr. Zamora is the mother of a toddler and a Morkie named Theo, both of whom she is raising with her husband. She loves family time and outings to parks and walks in the neighborhood. She is a self-defined foodie, loving cooking but also eating. The local cuisine scene is supported by Dr. Zamora, as well as local theater. Dr. Zamora is fluent in English and Spanish.
