Anne Berry, MD, MPH graduated from Penn State University School of Medicine in 2008. She completed Family Medicine residency at Greater Lawrence Family Health Center in Lawrence, MA, then worked in a Federally Qualified Health Center in Clendenin, WV, before joining Maryknoll Lay Missioners and moving with her partner (a pediatrician) and their two children to Mwanza, Tanzania. She worked for three years as the Reproductive and Child Health doctor at a small, rural hospital outside Mwanza. Her focus is family medicine maternity care and women’s health in underserved communities, and she plans to use her preventive medicine training to prepare for future service combining clinical care and population health work to decrease health disparities both in the US and internationally.
