Dr. Alda Andoni, board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, joined Women’s Health Care and Anna Jaques Hospital in July 2019.
Born and raised in Albania, Dr. Andoni brings a multi-cultural understanding to Women’s Health Care.
She graduated from University of Tirana Faculty of Medicine, Albania in 2004, and completed her internship and residency at Flushing Hospital Medical Center, Flushing, NY. She has worked at Flushing Hospital for the last three years before joining AJH.
Dr. Andoni is now accepting new patients at both the Newburyport and Haverhill office locations.
I am a 33 year old female, in a long term relationship but not married. I went for my first appointment with her in April 2023 at the Haverhill office for a pap and to discuss removing my 10 year old Paragard IUD, sterilization, and the possibility I have endometriosis. The nurse asked if there was anything I’d like to discuss with the doctor and I said I wanted to get sterilized. When Dr. Andoni came in she immediately brought it up, explained the bisalp procedure, was very supportive. Did not bring up anything regarding me changing my mind or my age and having no children. She said if I ever did want kids I could do IVF but the majority of people never, ever regret this anyways. She immediately had me sign the consent form and said it takes one month to process then we can schedule. Had my bisalp done at the Anna Jacques Hospital. Wonderful experience all nurses friendly and no one said anything judgmental at all. All in all a great experience and she’s a wonderful doctor!
