Reproductive freedom for all ♀

About

I was born in the Bay Area and raised in a bilingual household speaking English and Spanish. I lived here until I attended college at Duke University. For medical school, I was excited to return to the Bay Area and attend UC San Francisco, I graduated in 2004. I attended residency at UC Irvine and joined Kaiser Permanente in 2008.

I joined Kaiser Permanente so I could treat patients from all walks of life, promote preventive care, practice evidence-based medicine and easily refer to sub-specialists, if necessary, without worrying about my patient’s medical insurance. I spent 10 years at Santa Clara Medical Center before moving to our satellite offices at Skyport Medical Center.

I chose Ob/Gyn because I love the variety of the field moving from the clinic to the operating room and seeing patients during all aspects of life. I also love the special bond that people develop with their Ob/Gyn. In recent years I have focused my practice and particularly enjoy minimally invasive surgery, treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding, and management of pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence. I also enjoy providing gender-affirming care to transgender patients. Though I still love caring for pregnant women, I no longer work with Labor and Delivery.
