About

Dr. Urrutia grew up in Ohio as the eighth of 12 children and relocated to Austin upon completion of medical school. When she is not working, Dr. Urrutia likes to run the trail on Town Lake (as longtime Austinites still call it), enjoy downtown Austin, and read.

“Being from a large family, I was drawn to Obstetrics. I love building a relationship with my patients and continuing their care through all stages of life. I love surgery as well, and this field allows me to do both. I am committed to building a trusting relationship with my patients at each office visit, so that by creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, my patients feel at home. I am an advocate for preventive care for women throughout their lives, including annual well-woman exams and women’s healthcare screenings.”

+1 Dr Urrutia – She was incredibly polite and friendly. When I told her I was surprised at the lack of pushback from her, Dr. Urrutia stated that it’s my body and I have every right to decide what I want to do with it. The only drawback I can think of is that she’s booked out quite often and my initial appointment to see her had to be scheduled a month in advance.
