About

First of all, I would like to welcome you to Mid-City OB-GYN. I have been privileged to work with an amazing group of doctors and wonderful staff over a span of almost 20 years! My name is Ann Sjulin and I am a board-certified OB-GYN physician. I grew up in Sutherland, Nebraska, and completed my undergraduate training at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. After graduating from medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, I spent four years in their OB-GYN residency program. I was then blessed to join the medical practice of Mid-City OB-GYN.

I am a fellow in the American College of OB-GYN, a diplomat of the American Board of OB-GYN, a member of the Metropolitan Omaha Medical Society and on staff at both Bergan and Methodist Hospitals. I enjoy all aspects of our field, especially robotic surgery, and of course the unique opportunity to be present as new life enters into a family!

I am married to Dr. David Sjulin. Dave grew up in Shenandoah, Iowa, and is an ENT physician with BoysTown ENT. We have three daughters who manage to keep our lives very full and exciting. Our oldest daughter attends Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln. Our younger daughters both attend Concordia High School here in Omaha. Being an OB-GYN is extremely fulfilling, second only to being a wife and mother.

It is truly a joy getting to know you and being involved in your medical care. I really look at this as a joint effort between you and myself. I value your input and will do my best to educate you on available treatment options and the latest medications and/or surgical procedures that will be of benefit to you.

Bilateral salpingectomy 35, married, no kids I went in for a tumor removal and she asked if I had children and then if I wanted children. When I said no she said she could do a bilateral salpingectomy for me at the same time as the tumor removal. She also said it would lower my risk of cancer since it can start in the fallopian tubes. Her and everyone I met with was friendly and no negative comments or looks at any point of my experience. She’s also open for checkups which I would recommend her for too. NB OP is 35 and had other medical reasons for surgery, use with caution.
