Dr. Anna Baur is an obstetrician and gynecologist with Commonwealth Ob/Gyn Specialists, affiliated with Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, in Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Baur earned her doctorate at the Medical University of South Carolina, in Charleston, followed by a residency and internship in obstetrics and gynecology at Virginia Commonwealth University. Prior to medical school, Dr. Baur earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences, graduating with honors from the College of Charleston.
Dr. Baur serves as chair of the NTSV committee working to decrease Cesarean section rates for Henrico Doctors’ Hospital and is the vice chair for the Ob/Gyn Department. She has published and presented extensive research in several areas of obstetrics and gynecology. In addition, she holds certifications in da Vinci’s robotic surgery systems, neonatal resuscitation, adult cardiopulmonary life support, and centering pregnancy. Dr. Baur is a professional member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), American Medical Association, American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM), and North American Menopause Society (NAMS).
When not treating patients, Dr. Baur enjoys spending time with her family, reading, ballet, yoga, and painting. She welcomes new patients and referrals.
