Ayatallah Khafagy, MD, MPH, is a board-certified Obstetrician and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon with StoneSprings OBGYN in Dulles, Virginia.
A native of Egypt, Dr. Khafagy earned her medical doctorate with highest honors and completed specialized training in obstetrics and gynecology at Cairo University. She fulfilled her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia, and was awarded a fellowship in pelvic and robotic surgery at UW/Northwest Hospital and Medical Center, in Seattle. Dr. Khafagy also holds a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She is fluent in English and Arabic.
Dr. Khafagy is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. In addition to general OB/GYN care, her specialties include minimally invasive gynecology, menopause management, vulvar diseases, and high-risk obstetrics. Dr. Khafagy serves as a peer reviewer for the medical journal Obstetrics & Gynecology. Among her many honors, she is a recipient of the Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology award from the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists.
When not seeing patients, Dr. Khafagy enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and yoga.

I believe in the importance of empowering my patient when it comes to making decisions regarding her health taking into consideration her lifestyle and unique social situation. I am passionate about teaching women as they go through different phases of their lives starting from menarche to pregnancy and menopause.
