Dr. Buckheit is from Maine originally. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College where she majored in Spanish and Biology. She earned her medical degree from Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine. She completed her residency training at Duke University Hospital. She is a board-eligible OBGYN specialist. Dr. Buckheit has been a part of Kamm McKenzie OBGYN since August 2022.

Doctor has contacted us to advise: I am comfortable providing permanent sterilization and/or gender affirming gynecological surgery to patients, regardless of their childbearing status. For sterilization, I feel most comfortable when patients are over 25 years of age. That being said, in a well counseled and well informed patient, I would consider surgery for any patient who comes to me desiring a procedure they feel meets their reproductive and gender affirming goals. I work as part of a group practice, I cannot speak for the other surgeons in my group.
