Growing up, I always had an interest in science. Early on, I actually considered becoming a veterinarian because I love animals. However, after having more experience in the veterinary field as well as in medicine, I was drawn to taking care of people. Women’s health provides a unique opportunity in medicine to interact with patients throughout different stages of their life. Obstetrics reflects a particularly exciting time in most women’s lives, and it is an honor to be able to participate in that experience. Duke has several benefits. One is immediate access to top tier clinicians in a variety of subspecialties. Another is that everyone holds themselves to a high personal standard; I’m proud to be a part of that type of work culture. I spend most of my time outside of work with my family, which includes my husband, twin daughters, a cat, and two dogs. I also love to eat, and I enjoy exploring the excellent restaurants throughout the Triangle.

Duke Health Brier Creek and Southpoint. Bi-salp approval for 25 year old woman. No bingos, very professional. Has performed hysterectomy on redditor with debilitating periods as well as bisalps.

+1 Dr Bolac, She performed a bisalp for a 33/f, married, child free. No bingos, just asked if I’d explored other birth control options then explained the procedure. Both Dr Bolac and her team were professional and respectful throughout the experience and surgery.

+1 Dr. Bolac. June 2023. Hysterectomy on 29/f. My period was debilitating for around 3 weeks per month where it greatly impacts my quality of life. She approved my laparoscopic hysterectomy without an issue and she was very supportive when I told her I didn’t want kids
