Dr. Julie Goodwin is a board certified OB/GYN specializing in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (MIGS) including robotics. She has a MIGS Focused Practice Designation from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology which is awarded to those physicians who have achieved the highest standards in minimally invasive surgical techniques. Her goal is to reduce women's fear of surgery through education and preparation. MIGS procedures, including hysterectomies, myomectomies, and endometriosis resections can have a streamlined recovery with same day discharge, minimal to no need for pain meds postoperatively, and allow a quick return to normal life.
Dr. Goodwin is a native of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and attended Texas Christian University for her undergraduate degrees. She then attended medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and completed her OB/GYN residency at St. Louis University in 2015.
Dr. Goodwin is a Fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Diplomat of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is also an active member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
Dr. Goodwin is married to her husband John Goodwin, MD, a Gastroenterologist in North Little Rock. Together they have 3 great boys who keep everything messy, loud, and fun! Dr. Goodwin loves to spend time with family near and far, read, snow ski near Lake Tahoe, and cheer on her alma mater the TCU Horned Frogs.
