Kristy Crawford, DO, FACOOG is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biological and environmental sciences from Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky. She returned home to West Virginia to complete medical school at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, WV. After completion of medical school in 2006, she felt a calling to narrow her service to women’s health.
Dr. Crawford went on to complete her internship at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey.
After residency Dr. Crawford joined Mountain View OB/GYN in Hanover, Pennsylvania, where she practiced for five years. During that time, she was also a laborist at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, Maryland.
Dr. Crawford and her family moved to Vero Beach in 2016. She has been providing OB/GYN care to Indian River, St. Lucie, and Martin Counties for over 6 years.
Having a mother who served as both a beautician and therapist to many of her clients and a father who served as an EMT for many coal mining job sites, caring for others has always been Dr. Crawford’s passion. She feels it is both an honor and privilege to assist women through the most vulnerable parts of their lives. She believes that the relationship you have with your gynecologist is one of the most intimate relationships you will have with anyone. This is a relationship she does not take for granted.
Dr. Crawford has earned her certification as a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) and is listed in their CMP directory, joining other highly trained professionals in menopause management. She is also an active member of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH) and is very passionate about women’s sexual health.
