Biography

I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. I received my undergraduate degree in microbiology from UC Davis in 1999. My next move brought me to Southern California where I received my medical degree from UC Irvine in 2003. I also met my future husband at UCI. In 2004, I completed an internship in family medicine at Scripps Family Medicine Program in Chula Vista. Having a special interest in women's health, I went on to complete my Ob/Gyn residency at White Memorial Medical Center in 2008. My husband and I dreamed of returning to San Diego and did in 2008. We now have three wonderful children and are amazed every day at how lucky we are to call such a beautiful place home.

aiser insurance and hospital San Diego, CA Cost for me was just a co pay of $35 from my hmo plan. 40yr old patient. Began seeing her for uterus/menstruation problems. She asked about my preferences for options on addressing my health problems and I said if it would help my issues, I’m childfree and would be happy to pursue sterilization. She didn’t question me at all other than listing out the different levels of sterilization options, and she had me sign the permission there and then to go onto the wait list. We treated my other health issues in a different manner but elected to proceed with the bisalp. She has been nothing but kind and helpful and professional the whole journey and then for the actual operation I had an all-woman team who were equally as kind and helpful. I was on the wait list for about six months before they were able to schedule me. I would enthusiastically recommend Dr Gutierrez.
