About

Dr. Nicole Alexander is a Board-Certified OBGYN, who joins Women4Women OBGYN after five years’ experience in private practice in Lakeland, Florida.  After graduating from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, Dr. Alexander did her residency at the renowned Winne Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies in Orlando, Florida, which uniquely prepared her to manage every aspect of patient care for the women she serves. Additionally, she received extensive training in the newest technologies for gynecologic surgery, with a focus in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. During her residency, Dr. Alexander accumulated many awards from the University of Central Florida for her excellence in resident and medical student education, and rose to the role of Chief Resident in her fourth year.

The decision to become an OBGYN was a natural progression from Dr. Alexander’s early years as a curious and empathetic child, who was always looking for something to fix or ways to help others.  As the first physician in her family, she remained determined to navigate the pathway toward medical school despite having limited knowledge of the process. While in medical school, she became interested in the field of OBGYN in the operating room, as she learned of the many exciting procedures available to help women of all ages.  Her interest in the field was solidified in the delivery room, helping women through their pregnancies to culminate in the most special moment of their lives.  Along with the comprehensive women’s healthcare she provides, Dr. Alexander takes a special interest in adolescent gynecology as well as in healthy living and weight loss, taking from her own weight loss journey to help advise others toward self-improvement.

In her spare time, Dr. Alexander likes to stay active playing tennis and riding her Peloton, and enjoys hiking outdoors.  She loves traveling, either by airplane or by RV, and discovering new places.  She is joined in her journey to make a new home in Huntsville by her beloved cat Emo, who has been her constant companion since she was in college.

Reddit Testimonial (r/childfree)

total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingectomy, I am 27 and have no children. I got the procedure because of heavy periods, abnormal period pain, and birth control’s bad effects on my mental health. The midwife at W4W referred me to Dr. Alexander because she is more willing to operate on younger patients than the other doctors there. The doctor made sure that I was aware of the consequences of the surgery, but did not ask any rude questions or ask my partner for permission.
