35, married, childfree since childhood. Bilateral salpingectomy. July 2024. I then got my surgery scheduled for the end of August, barely 30 days after inquiring. Dr. Fronek and her team were friendly and very attentive, zero judgment or concern at all about my decision. The procedure/visit lasted a little over 3 hours (9:30 am check-in time, on my way home by 12:45 pm). Recovery was relatively smooth, and exactly 2 weeks later, I had my post-op appointment and was cleared to resume all normal activities. The original cost quoted to me was $17k, or $9k after insurance. I fought this successfully, and the procedure was ultimately covered 100% with no cost sharing by Regence Blue Cross. Huge thank you to everyone on this sub for arming me with the information to fight my insurance provider, or I would have paid that stupid bill.
