Reddit Testimonial (r/childfree)

3219 Clifton Avenue, Suite 230, Cincinnati, OH 45220, 513-559-9411. I’m 25, absolutely childfree forever now (whoo!), and unmarried. I’ve been on the birth control since I was 16 & have always been satisfied with it. I actually brought up sterilization as a joke in December 2021 because my yearly checkup was right after Dobbs v. Jackson, and I knew it was only a matter of time until Roe v. Wade was overturned. I made a joke about wanting to be sterilized, but would settle for an IUD (instead of my current BC) because it was the next best thing, & soon I wasn’t going to have a backup plan. Dr. LeRoy turned around, looked me dead in the face, & said she would schedule with me that day for a sterilization if that is what I wanted.

+1 Dr. Elizabeth LeRoy Ohio, Bilateral salpingectomy + paraguard IUD removal -26F, not married + long term partner both childfree. Dr LeRoy was awesome and extremely helpful throughout the whole process, was very sympathetic with the notion of not wanting birth control for my whole life and respected I did not want kids nor have I ever. She even gave me the specific billing codes she uses for the procedure so I could give it to my insurance to get an estimate of what I would pay. The surgery itself went great! Pain was extremely manageable, the incisions are barely noticeable as 2 are below waistline, and 1 in the belly button which just looks like an extra wrinkle in the belly button is all. She even provided pictures she took of my insides and also of the removed tubes. Best decision I ever made and LeRoy was so helpful and empowering throughout as well.
