My tubal ligation was completed earlier today. I brought up a full hysterectomy at my initial visit which she wasn’t on board for. She said there’s a lot of risks involved for doing it in someone young (I am 26, never married, never had kids, and made up my mind in elementary school I never ever wanted kids.) She then brought up tubal ligation and stated she does them all of the time and usually has no push back from insurance (I have keystone first, so I imagine its totally covered because it is a birth control.) She is incredibly sweet as is the whole staff and are more than willing to go in depth on any questions you might have. I will say they give a time of 2-4 hours to leave same day but I was there much longer. It is mandatory you pee 100 milliliters before being discharged (and obv I did not right away so discharge time is incredibly varied.) Also as with any surgery, you need someone to pick you up. Important side note; they tell you parking is validated – but it is NOT.
