I was born and raised in New York. I received my undergraduate degree from Cornell University. After a cross-country trip to San Francisco, I decided a little change from the east coast was in order, and chose to pursue my residency training at the University of California, San Francisco. It was then that I was exposed to the integrative health care system of Kaiser Permanente and I chose to practice Obstetrics and Gynecology in a stimulating, collegial and cutting-edge environment.
I enjoy a wide range of practice in Obstetrics and Gynecology and have particular clinical interests in gynecologic surgery, especially minimally invasive techniques, as well as family planning. It is my priority; however, to take an integrative approach and work with patients on safe alternatives. I see a huge role for complementary medicine. I enjoy taking care of complex obstetrical issues and support healthy birthing options. I care for our transgender patients in gynecology and provide a sensitive approach to all patients. In addition to my varied practice, I feel privileged to help educate our residents and to work in such a diverse environment. I am the Associate Program Director for residency training and direct our surgical skills teaching program. In addition to English, I also speak Spanish. I strongly believe I am a partner in a woman’s care, helping her to choose the options that work best for her.
I look forward to getting to know you better at your next visit!
