Reproductive freedom for all ♀

About

I was born and raised in New York. I received my undergraduate degree from Cornell University. After a cross-country trip to San Francisco, I decided a little change from the east coast was in order, and chose to pursue my residency training at the University of California, San Francisco.  It was then that I was exposed to the integrative health care system of Kaiser Permanente and I chose to practice Obstetrics and Gynecology in a stimulating, collegial and cutting-edge environment.

I enjoy a wide range of practice in Obstetrics and Gynecology and have particular clinical interests in gynecologic surgery, especially minimally invasive techniques, as well as family planning.  It is my priority; however, to take an integrative approach and work with patients on safe alternatives.  I see a huge role for complementary medicine.  I enjoy taking care of complex obstetrical issues and support healthy birthing options.  I care for our transgender patients in gynecology and provide a sensitive approach to all patients. In addition to my varied practice, I feel privileged to help educate our residents and to work in such a diverse environment.  I am the Associate Program Director for residency training and direct our surgical skills teaching program. In addition to English, I also speak Spanish. I strongly believe I am a partner in a woman’s care, helping her to choose the options that work best for her.

I look forward to getting to know you better at your next visit!

I am fortunate to work with a group of dedicated support staff, including nurses and medical assistants, to help take care of your healthcare needs. My staff speaks Spanish as well.

Family and Friends

When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 2 boys(born 2005 and 2008).

Hobbies and interests

I believe you can have a positive effect on your health through lifestyle interventions, and therefore spend a lot of time outdoors and love to swim and run. I started practicing yoga during my first pregnancy, and enjoy traveling, scuba diving, photography, knitting, and cooking.

Reddit Testimonial (r/childfree)

Total Hysterectomy. 21F, dating, very CF. Erica was wonderful. Once I got the referral and met with her, she asked me why I wanted this procedure. I said it was due to my CF status and the excruciating pain my periods bring. She just said “okay. Let’s get you scheduled” and had me scheduled SAME MONTH. She is super kind and accommodating (and 420 friendly.) She forgot to take out my nexplanon while I was under anesthesia, but had it taken out while I was still drowsy and called the next day apologizing profusely. She is wonderful.
