29, unmarried, childfree woman. I met with Dr. Ferguson for the first time as a new patient expressing wanting to be sterilized and we started setting everything up that same meeting. Didn’t ask about being married or anything and simply asked if I was sure and went over legal things she was required to. She ended up going on maternity leave so my surgery was taken over by Dr. Vij after a small delay. She was also very kind and with no questions about marital status and just what I wanted done.
