Dr. Heather Cugini joined the obstetrics and gynecology team at Virginia Beach OB/GYN in 2023. Dr. Cugini is originally from St. Louis, Missouri. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from McKendree College in Lebanon, Illinois, and then attended medical school at St. George University in Grenada, British West Indies. She then did her ob/gyn residency training at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. She was in private practice in Cape Girardeau, Missouri from 2010 until her move to Virginia Beach. She was board-certified by the American Board of OB/GYN in 2013. Dr. Cugini is a daVinci certified robotic surgeon. She has a certificate degree in sexual health and enjoys exploring the nuances of reproductive hormones, sexuality, and gender. In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband, their two kids, and their two dogs.
