I am an academic specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology, providing full-scope Ob/Gyn care. I have a special focus in routine and high-risk pregnancy, breastfeeding and lactation medicine, complex family planning, gynecologic surgery including hysterectomy, and gynecologic care for transgender and gender diverse people. I enjoy educating my patients about their conditions and learning their goals for their health, which allows me to practice shared decision making to meet each patient’s goals for their own health.
Patients seen by this provider for their prenatal care will deliver at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
This gynecologist has reached out to advise, “I perform surgical sterilization (bilateral salpingectomy) for patients with Fallopian tubes without regard for pregnancy history, relationship status, gender, or sexuality. Some insurance companies have their own rules like a 30-day waiting period for patients with Pennsylvania Medicaid, but that is not my own rule, and if the insurance company has no such requirements, I am generally able to offer surgery dates within 1-2 months. I tend to have a long wait list for an initial appointment, but patients can ask for a “surgical consult referred from the Reddit list” and I will do my best to get them in. I also perform gender-affirming hysterectomy for patients in need of it, and practice LGBTQIA+ competent care. I practice at Penn OBGYN Associates at the University of Pennsylvania and operate at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. 215-662-6035, option 2 for gynecological services.
