Reproductive freedom for all ♀

About

I was born in Denver, Colorado but lived all over before settling in the Bay Area in 1997. I became interested in midwifery while doing health education for the Peace Corps in West Africa. After attending UCSF for my midwifery degree, I came to work at Kaiser Permanente in 2002. I feel very privileged to have spent so many years working with an incredible team of nurses, doctors and midwives to help so many fabulous women bring healthy babies into the world.

My personal interests include hiking, skiing, camping, knitting, traveling, and spending time with my husband, our two children and our yellow lab.

Roles and Responsibilities

I generally work two days a week in clinic providing prenatal care, one day in San Ramon and the other in Walnut Creek. On one or two additional days I work at either Walnut Creek Medical Center or Antioch Medical Center delivering babies.

Reddit Testimonial (r/childfree)

I asked to be sterilized and she said yes right away, all she said was it’s easier medically/painwise for my husband to get a vasectomy but I said I wanted to do it and so we got me scheduled. I had to have a different doctor (Melissa Kushlak) at the same practice do the procedure bc Dr price had recently had carpal tunnel surgery. Everyone was AMAZING. no bingos from doctors at pre-op, treated very respectfully day of surgery by all staff, etc. Overall amazing experience. I’m 29F. Not taking new patients as of Nov. 2023.
