Jenny Travieso, MD, FACOG, is a fellowship-trained minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon in Women’s Health, a clinical partnership between Ascension Seton and UT Health Austin. She specializes in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Additionally, Dr. Travieso is an assistant professor in the Dell Medical School Department of Women’s Health.
Dr. Travieso earned her bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin and her medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine and a fellowship in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery at the University of Michigan Health System.
Dr. Travieso’s research interests include optimization of perioperative management in benign gynecologic surgery, pelvic pain, and endometriosis. She has presented this work at national meetings and has also published several peer-reviewed manuscripts on other topics, such as the use of robotics in benign gynecologic surgery. She is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the International Pelvic Pain Society, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
