Dr. Lisa Bearden chose the field of obstetrics and gynecology for many reasons. She loves the fact that she gets to split her time between the outpatient clinic and caring for patients in the hospital setting. She knew early on from her medical rotations that she wanted to be a part of a specialty that allowed her to build a lasting relationship with her patients, one where she walked with them through different stages of life. She also feels there is no higher honor than being there to help welcome a new life into a family or to hold the hands of those who are experiencing a heartbreaking loss. She feels this is one of the most painful, yet important things her profession is called to do.
Dr. Bearden grew up in White Hall, Arkansas, attended the University of Central Arkansas, where she graduated with Honors. She received a BS in Biology. She went on to receive her medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where she also completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency.
After spending five years in private practice in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Dr. Bearden moved to our area of the state. She began seeing patients at WHA in October 2014 and is currently building a bustling practice in her new hometown. While still maintaining a family life, she is excited about being part of a practice with those who share similar goals for patient care.
Dr. Bearden is a board-certified OB/GYN and Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is a member of the American Medical Association, Arkansas Medical Society, and American Medical Women’s Association.
