About

I was drawn to obstetrics and gynecology because it provides me the opportunity to help women throughout different stages of life and the ability to share in awesome experiences like births and major life changes. My goal is to work with women to help them make the best health care decisions for themselves. I listen carefully to each of my patients to learn about their individual needs, and then together we come up with a plan of care. My interests include both routine and high-risk obstetrics, contraceptive management, treatment of abnormal bleeding, preventive health care and gynecologic surgery.

Margaret Sweeney, MD, of HealthPartners Riverside. My primary care doctor referred me to her for a bilateral salpingectomy after it became clear that I wasn’t backing down on sterilization. Margaret didn’t question my decision once; just briefly went over my history of what I’ve tried, why those methods didn’t work for me, and what I hadn’t tried, verified that I wasn’t interested in the non-permanent options I hadn’t tried yet, and got me scheduled immediately. For what it’s worth, I’m 31 and married with no children. I was also recently diagnosed with a couple autoimmune disorders, which could have played a factor in how easy this process was this time around. I really think Margaret would treat any patient the same way she treated me though.

+1 Dr Sweeney, bilateral salpingectomy 22F, 21F, 21F, 22F, unknown age, hysterectomy 25F. Most recent confirmed sterilisation September 2024.
