Maureen E. Downing, DO out of UC health. She did my hysterectomy without batting an eye after years of abnormal bleeding. Even though I had already had my tubes tied, others doctors would try to convince me to avoid it “just in case.” She was empathetic, kind, and professional. I asked if I could share her name since I know many people who are don’t want any (or more than one) child, and want a ligation or have suffered from horrendous bleeding or period symptoms since they were kids. She told me she agreed that there’s no reason for adults to suffer for the sake of a “fertility” they aren’t interested in having. She will have to ask and/or make you fill out forms though because of practice/state law BS in Ohio.
