About

I’m an advocate for women. It’s my job to listen and do all I can to care for them.

I’m Dr. Paige King. I’m an obstetrician gynecologist for Rush Copley Medical Group. So I grew up in Plano, which is about 20 minutes from here, went away to school, to medical school at University of Illinois. And then my training at University of Kentucky, and really just wanted to kind of come back to an area that helped mold me into who I am today. I think it’s a great connection to my patients too, to have something in common. One of the philosophies I have in taking care of patients is kind of like the golden rule, treat others as you would like to be treated. And I think that’s really applicable in medicine. When a patient comes in, I treat them how I, myself, as a woman would want to be treated or how I would want my mother or two sisters to be treated.

I think continuity is one of the unique aspects of OB/ GYN that fosters good relationships between the patient and the doctor. A patient may present at 18. We may later care for her throughout a pregnancy, and then many, many years down the road care for her through menopause. You know, each pregnancy is different and exciting. I try to do my best to kind of give them all the information and education about what to expect and what’s normal. I’ve learned a lot after I had my own baby. You know, we learned about what happens in medical school and residency, but it’s a whole different ball game once you’ve actually gone through it yourself. And I just try to provide as much education and reassurance to moms that this is what’s going to happen, and this is normal. And if you’re worried about anything or have questions or concerns, we’re always here for you to answer those. I’m an advocate for women. I want them to know when they come into my office, that I’m listening to them that they’re heard and that I’m taking everything that they say into account as we take care of them.

at Rush Copley on 2040 Ogden Avenue, Suite 201 Aurora, Illinois 60504; 630-978-6886. Bilateral salpingectomy, 25F, single, no kids and never had/having any. Very pleasant experience on my first day meeting her. Listened and understood why I’m not having kids and worries, and reassured me she will do the procedure if I’m 100% sure of my choice. She never bingo’d me; just ask the standard questions before approval. Before procedure, she ask again if I’m 100% sure (not a bingo, just making sure I didn’t change my mind when in a hospital setting), and did it. Her nurses never bingo’d me either. All were lovely. Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance.
