I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. I attended UCLA for my undergraduate studies, followed by Columbia University where I received a Masters in Public Health, and then went on to medical school and residency at The University of California, Irvine. After finishing residency, I spent three years as an Adjunct Clinical Professor at Stanford University and was honored to receive a teaching award in gynecology from Stanford Medical School. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, I had a successful private practice in Long Beach, CA and I was an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, Irvine.
I thoroughly enjoy building lasting relationships with my patients and enabling them to better understand their bodies and the many changes women undergo throughout their lives. I have the privilege of guiding women through multiple stages of their lives from the single years, to the joys of pregnancy, through motherhood, and finally assisting them through the transition to menopause. I believe it is important to treat every aspect of a woman's health: physical, mental, and social. Patient education is a vital part of my practice. I feel the doctor-patient relationship is the most important basis of a team effort in the delivery of care to patients.
I love living in Oakland and being a part of all it has to offer. In my free time, I enjoy exploring the Bay Area with my family, pilates, swimming, and cooking (I'm a bit of a foodie!).
